About Me
Welcome to my first ever “About Me” blurb. As you’ve probably figured out, I’m a writer and Creative Director who has worked on campaigns for a lot of amazing clients over the years. Clients like GE and IBM. Plus many that aren’t acronyms, like FedEx, Macy’s, Pedigree and The Red Cross. But right now, I find myself working for a much tougher client: me. Seriously, I’m the worst. Demanding, judgmental, and worst of all indecisive. Which is probably why I’ve never had one of these blurbs on my website before. I just kept changing the brief. Do I try to be funny and show off my comedy chops? Or keep it serious and focus on my deep expertise with B2B? Do I brag about the awards I’ve won from places like Cannes, The One Show and the D&AD? Or just find a way to bring them up naturally? (Seamless, right?) Here’s a big one: do I dare refer to myself in the third person? (“Fred” found that pretentious). So in the end, I told myself to get off my back. It’s my website, and people deserve the chance to experience the real, unfiltered, unadulterated me. And that’s what this is... at least for now. I’m hearing the client has notes.
